I. Am SO excited for this. Frances Hodgson Burnett’s 1911 book is one of the most beloved children’s books in the world, and one of my personal favorite books, so utterly magical. The first episode of this dodges the mistakes I’ve seen a lot of webseries make as far as labored explication and overly-long dialogue; it jumps refreshingly straight into the story with an outspoken, sarcastic Mary, yet also lets viewers engage with her immediately by referencing her tragic past. I expect to love this.

This looks so good! I actually have bandwidth now so I’m going through all the web series I’ve been putting off/etc. and making my own “master list.” This one definitely looks promising!

Thanks for the heads up on this series, and your reviews of other series. I have so many ideas for my own blog but I have to get it back in order. I’ll let you know if/when—hopefully when—I get my “master list” of series up, and you can let me know if I’ve forgotten anything, haha.

Of course! I’m hoping it’s as enjoyable as we all want! Also: am I the only one kinda hoping that Mary and Dickon have a romantic relationship in this one? It was strongly hinted at in the book..

Oh my goodness, so I somehow missed this comment! Sorry about that! Dickon just appeared in the adaptation, and you’re totally not the only one hoping for a romantic relationship. I’m really enjoying the adaptation so far, by the way.

Yes! I watched the ep with Dickon and gahh, based on how they’re setting it up, I think they will go the romance route :))
